Münzenberg is located in the Wetterau district at an altitude of 202 meters above sea level, and is traversed by the Wetter river.
The small town is beautifully situated and is “guarded” by its imposing castle ruins. Unfortunately, the castle ruins cannot be visited in winter, but even from the outside, they are an imposing and remarkable sight. Hence, we just walked around the castle and then continued to the second highlight of Münzenberg, the Münzenberg rock garden. Here, in the middle of the meadow, huge boulders are scattered around, inviting you to marvel at them and climb them.
A short and very easy hike, but with plenty to see and discover.
