    Did you do this unroped?

I didn't use any rope! Its mostly a steep scramble with only one section I had to free climb just before the shell rock, There is a 15m vertical slab and I made it to the top of that slab I anchor a rope down for the guy who came with me because he couldn't free climb, he was to scare!

Then you have some balls entering shell rock with no rope. I guess you are an experienced climber. I have been climbing up obscure parts of Beerwah, including few lines leading up Shell Rock but I wouldn't do it unroped. I'm interested in this climb of yours because I know of two separate parties of rock climbers who are currently bolting routes going up that way leading to the eye cave. One goes left (some bolts and chains below shell rock) and one on the right of the cave. I'm also interested to your south Beerwah route and how hard it is. We have been looking forward to a scramble up the south side but failed to find suitable time yet...

I did not went into the shell rock! I didn't didn't even see it to be honest, I know it was about just in front of me, I saw the big boulder I could've climb it but didn't for safety as it's a cliff face with cheer drop, we just went on the right of it!
This Sunday morning the 19th we are climbing the south western shoulder of Mount beerwah 5.30am beerwah carpark if you want to join us

Sorry but I'm unavailable to climb atm. Are you repeating your route? If you look at my logs you'll see Legend of Barbed wire banshee, goes up from Wayne's World "The Nut" as an easy scramble until you get to a cave then things get more serious up a long chimney to another cave. From here a hard overhanging move will lead to an exposed corner just 50m below shell rock. Roped of course. It's a nice route compared to others nearby and climbs the SW corner pretty much straight up. Shell rock is an amazing place. You could get up there also from the original West Beerwah route, a series of chimneys and some of them bloody hard and not easy to protect either.
